We know that visiting a church for the first time can be stressful. Every church is unique. We also know that you probably have some questions before you visit. Below are answers to a few questions that most people have before they come to worship.

What time is your worship service?
We worship at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday morning in our Sanctuary building, which is the brick building with the large steeple and cross on top.

What should I wear?
You can worship God in whatever you feel comfortable wearing. That being said, most of our people wear casual or business casual attire. It’s more common for you to see people in jeans and a Saints jersey than a coat and tie. We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.

Where should I take my children?
We love having children in worship and welcome your family to our church. Every Sunday, we have a special time for children during the service. Children leave the service following Children’s Time and go to the Agape Center for Children’s Church, where they will continue to engage in activities specially designed for them. We also offer a nursery for infants through 2-years of age located in the Agape Center, which is the building next to the sanctuary.

Our service is a blending of traditional and contemporary styles and music. A typical service includes announcements, singing of hymns and praise songs, prayer time, a time for offering our gifts to God, Children’s Time, scripture readings, preaching, and Holy Communion.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?
If you are visiting with us, we don’t expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider Pearl River Methodist Church your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving to PRMC. You can give by check or cash during the service, or you can set-up an online giving account.

As a Visitor: You will NOT be asked to stand up or be recognized in any particular way during worship, but you may be greeted and welcomed by any number of our church family. An attendance pad is passed during the service and we ask that you sign in. You will receive additional information from our church, a note during the week, or possibly a phone call welcoming you back. We hope to see you Sunday!

Please go to the entrance of our Sanctuary. Inside those doors is the “Gathering Room” where you will meet a friendly usher who can answer your questions, point you in the right direction, and give you a welcome bag. We hope to see you Sunday!
